An introduction from our Chief Executive:
We are recruiting an Executive Director of Resources at a challenging time for local government—but also one that presents huge opportunities.
Our purpose is clear: we want to improve people’s lives. We are also delivering on our core priorities. Our priorities are set out in our Corporate Strategy (2023 to 2027), which was unanimously agreed by Full Council.
We have a good track record of managing our finances well, whether through a prudent approach to our assets or maximizing income from our heritage sites. So much so, that last year we were able to adopt a two-year budget.
We have also made fundamental changes to how we work through our ‘Being Our Best’ Programme, which has focused on ‘Great Jobs’, a ‘Culture of Excellence’, and ‘Smart Structures’.
Our future Executive Director of Resources will play a crucial part in the Executive Leadership Team, addressing these challenges and seizing these opportunities.
